Teater MULUK – Lelaki Dari Sumatera, an avant-garde take on ‘Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck’ (The Sinking of Van Der Wijck) by HAMKA, a renowned Indonesian philosopher and novelist. Muluk who had been a suporting character is now the main role, contrary to HAMKA’s original story. This full-fledged 1920’s Indonesian was staged on 1st December 2017 in IIUM Gombak.
